This seal kit is for the Brake Accumulator and is used when the accumulator is overhauled and re-gassed.

The o-rings in the kit have been manufactured from a high-ENB ethylene propylene diene monomer compound. This was following reports of o-rings shrinking in service in other seals kits in these vehicles, leading to leakage and fluid loss. The high-ENB compound was selected following consultation with a leading specialist in sealing materials and following laboratory testing under temperature controlled conditions. These o-rings have been especially tooled for the Prestige Parts range using chrome plated moulds required when forming products from high-ENB compounds. High-ENB o-rings are designated by a yellow dot to distinguish them from non-conforming o-rings.

The contents of this kit have been modified to include 2 x nylon balls, instead of the 1 x nylon ball and 1 x steel ball originally used. This is because the nylon ball provides superior sealing and thus greater longevity in the re-gassed accumulator.
