Usually charged up to 1,00 PSI, they help keeping the hydraulic system under pressure well after the engine has been turn off. Giving a 40-50 pumps before the brakes stop working. Used to store pressure from the hydraulic braking system and function as a backup pressure supply in the event of pump failure.
If you the brake pressure lights are not going off until running the car for sometime, you might be experiencing pressure issues of and it is advised that the spheres are replaced. We would recommend that you always replace both accumulator spheres at the same time.
