Description
This is a rebuild kit for the water pump. The Prestige Parts version now includes a modern ‘bombproof’ single-piece replacement rotary shaft seal, specially designed for the application and for the Prestige Parts range.
The original seal was prone to failure, caused by stiction between the ceramic face of the seal and the collar on the bearing, most particularly when the vehicle experiences sporadic usage.
It should be fitted with Loctite 242 or Loctite 243 Threadlocker adhesive.
