Description
This is the standard 88°C thermostat fitted to all Rolls-Royce and Bentley models from 1965 to 1997 and Bentley Arnage Red Label 2000 to 2002.
In addition, a 78°C thermostat has been developed to reduce overheating problems caused by the combination of higher levels of ethanol in fuels (which leads to higher running temperature) and hotter climates. This is available UE36600-78. Please note that the 78°C thermostat should only be used in cars built 1965-1986, and not those fitted with a catalytic convertor, where engine temperature may be lowered to a point that catalytic convertors do not reach a high enough temperature to function effectively.
